Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Neyms collects, how it is used, and how it may be shared when people use the platform.

Content note: this privacy policy is written for an MVP and is not a substitute for legal advice. If Neyms grows, expands to more regions, or handles more sensitive activity, this policy should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional.

01

Introduction

Neyms is a marketplace for real-life human knowledge exchange. This policy explains how we handle information when users create accounts, publish profiles, send or receive session requests, and share feedback or onboarding information.

02

Information we collect

We collect information that users provide directly, information created through use of Neyms, and basic technical information needed to run the service. This may include account details, profile content, session request details, messages or notes related to requests, feedback form responses, and device or usage information.

03

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect information such as your email address, authentication details, account identifiers, and related timestamps. Neyms uses Supabase for authentication and may store account-related data in Supabase.

04

Public profile information

If you create a profile, you may provide information such as your public name, photo, city, languages, topics, hourly rate, bio, and what you can help others with. Published profile information may be visible to other Neyms users and, depending on the product settings, visitors who are not logged in.

05

Session request information

When a user sends or receives a session request, Neyms may collect details such as the requested profile, requester, date, purpose, request status, and session details added by participants. Session request information is shared between the participants involved so they can review, accept, decline, update, or manage the session.

06

Feedback and survey information, including Tally forms

Neyms may use Tally forms for feedback, onboarding, research, or support. If you submit a Tally form, the information you provide may be processed by Tally and shared with Neyms. This can include your responses, contact details if provided, language preference, and form metadata.

07

How we use information

We use information to operate Neyms, create and manage accounts, display profiles, process session requests, communicate with users, improve the product, understand usage, respond to feedback, prevent misuse, and maintain the safety and reliability of the platform.

08

How information is shared

Neyms shares information as needed to run the service, such as showing public profiles, sharing session request details with the participants involved, and using service providers that help us operate the app. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate misuse. Neyms does not sell personal information.

09

Public profile visibility

Published profiles are designed to be discoverable. Information you add to a public profile may be seen by other users or visitors, copied by people who view it, or appear in parts of the service that promote discovery. Do not include information in your public profile that you do not want others to see.

10

Data storage and service providers, including Supabase and Tally

Neyms uses third-party service providers to operate the product. Supabase is used for authentication, database storage, and related backend services. Tally may be used for forms, feedback, surveys, and onboarding. These providers process information according to their own services and policies, and Neyms uses them to store, process, and manage information needed for the app.

11

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Neyms, maintain records, resolve disputes, improve the product, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations. Some information may remain in backups, logs, or records for a limited period after it is deleted from active use.

12

User choices and account deletion

You can choose what to include in your profile and may edit or unpublish profile information through the app where those controls are available. If you want to delete your account or request removal of information, contact Neyms through the feedback or support channels provided in the app. Some information may need to be retained where required for safety, legal, or operational reasons.

13

Security

Neyms takes reasonable steps to protect information, including relying on established service providers such as Supabase. No online service can guarantee complete security, so users should also protect their accounts, use strong authentication practices, and be careful about what they share.

14

Children / age requirement

Neyms is not intended for children who are not old enough to use online services or enter into paid arrangements under their local laws. If a parent, guardian, or other responsible person believes a child has provided information to Neyms, they should contact us so we can review the issue.

15

Changes to this policy

Neyms may update this privacy policy as the product develops or our practices change. When we make changes, we will update the last updated date. Continuing to use Neyms after changes means the updated policy applies.

16

Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy, want to request account deletion, or want to raise a privacy concern, contact Neyms through the feedback or support channels provided in the app.
